# Teraco

> Teraco Data Environments is a carrier- and vendor-neutral data centre operator in South Africa, and was the first provider of vendor-neutral data environments in sub-Saharan Africa. Teraco provides colocation and interconnection from facilities in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban, and operates internet exchange point NAPAfrica, which carries peak traffic of more than 6 Tbps across more than 680 connected networks. Teraco offers direct on-ramps to AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle, interconnection to subsea cable systems, and high-density infrastructure for AI and GPU workloads. Teraco is majority-owned by Digital Realty (NYSE: DLR), a global data centre operator with more than 300 facilities in over 50 metropolitan areas across 25 countries on six continents.
